Deep-Sea Sport Fishing Across the Mexican Caribbean
From the marinas of Cancún and Puerto Aventuras, our sport fishing charters put you on the richest waters of the Mexican Caribbean. Whether you want a relaxed half-day trip close to shore or a full-day deep-sea fishing adventure out to the drop-off, we run private charters tailored to your group — families, first-time anglers and seasoned fishermen alike. Cancun’s warm Caribbean current keeps the action going all year, and you always choose the departure time that fits your vacation.
We fish the entire Riviera Maya coastline: Cancún, Puerto Aventuras, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Akumal, Cozumel and the wrecks and reefs behind Isla Mujeres. Depending on the season you can chase blue and white marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi (dorado), wahoo, blackfin and yellowfin tuna offshore, while inshore trips produce barracuda, jack crevalle, snapper, grouper, bonito and more. Our captains know exactly where the bite is on any given day.
Looking for something different? Beyond our yacht and cruiser charters, we now offer budget-friendly panga fishing out of Cancún and guided spearfishing in Cancún — free-diving the sunken ships and reefs off Isla Mujeres with a full kit and an expert guide. On a tighter budget, the Miss Sujey panga and the 27 ft Cancún are the most affordable sport fishing trips in the area.
Every trip is all-inclusive: licensed captain and crew, fuel, professional tackle, bait, drinks and ice — just bring sunscreen and your camera. Browse the full fleet to compare boats, prices and capacities, then message us to lock in your date. If the port ever closes for bad weather, we refund or reschedule, no questions asked. Book your Cancún deep-sea fishing charter today and get on the water with the local crew that fishes these waters every day.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a fishing charter in Cancún cost?
Prices depend on the boat and trip length. Our most affordable options are the Cancún pangas and guided spearfishing, starting around $250 USD per person, while private yacht and cruiser charters run from about $520 USD for a 4-hour trip. Every price is all-inclusive with no hidden fees.
What fish can you catch in Cancún and the Riviera Maya?
Offshore you can target blue and white marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi (dorado), wahoo and blackfin or yellowfin tuna. Closer to shore expect barracuda, jack crevalle, snapper, grouper, bonito and triggerfish. The exact mix depends on the season and how far out you go.
When is the best time of year for deep-sea fishing in Cancún?
Fishing is good all year in the Mexican Caribbean. Sailfish and marlin peak from March to July, mahi-mahi is strong in spring, tuna shows up much of the year, and wahoo runs in the cooler months. Tell us your dates and we’ll tell you what’s biting.
Do I need a fishing license or previous experience?
No experience is needed — our captains and crew guide you the whole way, and trips are great for families and first-timers. The boat’s fishing permits cover your day, so you just show up ready to fish.
Where do the boats depart from?
We depart from Cancún (Puerto Juárez and Marina Aquatours) and Puerto Aventuras, with easy access from Playa del Carmen, Tulum and the whole Riviera Maya. Optional round-trip transport to the marina is available for an extra cost.
What is included in the trip?
Every charter includes the licensed captain and crew, fuel, professional rods, reels and tackle, bait, drinks and ice. Just bring sunscreen, a hat and your camera. The crew gratuity is not included and is left to your discretion.
Do you offer spearfishing in Cancún?
Yes. Our guided spearfishing tour free-dives the sunken ships and reefs behind Isla Mujeres with a full kit — speargun, fins, mask and weight belt — and an expert local guide, adapting the dive spots to your skill level.
